Guild Hall Upgrade Ideas!!
i think it would be really cool if they could make a system to upgrade guild halls by having stuff like say.... being able to have merchants and such in the hall so you dont have to go back and forth between towns also be able to upgrade so you can get armor vendors and everything else.
Keep this post going by submitting your ideas!

The merchant idea is really swell--having traders, merchants, etc would get rid of all the hustle and bustle of big-cities, while allowing you to chill with your guild
I wouldn't mind some minigames, either. Maybe some gambling, pet racing or fighting, and the like ?

You should be able to spar your mirror self in the guild hall. Or spar your mirror team 0_0

Just a friendly reminder, the search button reveals wonders...
Now onto my addition to this.
I wouldn't mind seeing the ability to go one versus one or two versus two in your guild hall between teammates.
I wouldn't mind seeing some friendly creatures roaming the halls either, it'd bring a bit of life to the place, and what about banners and such that signify it is YOUR hall?
Weather settings would be, probably difficult to add, but would be nice to see. I wouldn't mind seeing it dawn or night in Wizard's Isle, y'know, pick your mood sort of thing, or even a little rain, or fog, or something of the sort. It'd make things a bit more 'home' feeling, which that is what our Guild Hall is, our home.
The ability to actually sit in chairs wouldn't be such a bad thing, it'd be good for guild meetings XD, and just silly looking I suppose.
Anyway, there are alot of things they can do, I'm more interested in being able to make it FEEL more like your own with banners of your cape and such around.

What I'd REALLY like to see is a new tab for your guild.... Like we have Guild Leader, officers and members, I'd like to see a "Guild Champion" and have a gladiatorial arena in the Guild Hall so members could fight for the title...
From there Guilds could issue a challenge to a rival guild saying my Champ is better than yours, have the two champions battle each other, and place bets on it.
I also agree with the others having a guild armourer and merchant would be awesome, maybe you could throw in a dye or material trader aswell.

Weather would defininently be an awesome idea, hard to incorporate. Which is why they made so many climate choices to begin with.
Day and night is something I have wanted in this game for a long time. Not just in the guild hall. Once they add that they have a whole new set of possibilities. For example night only monsters like ghosts and ghouls. Night only quests. I remember in ffxi there was this night quest where a special moss on grows or appears at night. Plus a real campfire in your guild. You could sit around the camp fire and tell stories or w/e.
As for the guild NPC's just about everyone has already mentioned that they wanted them. In the interviews they talked about the fact that they are working on Guild upgrades.
Also the mobs or monsters have already been mentioned as a must, some sort of protect your keep kind of thing. I myself don't care about the monsters because I goto my Hall to relax. However there are henchman already there and what they could do like they did in FFVII is an arena. You enter one character who goes into an arena and fights monsters, after each win he has liked a 4/5 chance to get a negative status effect and a 1/5 chance for a good one like a heal. That way not only did the monsters get harder but so did the conditions. In the one you could spend those points on items and skills. However once you left the pre-arena area you lose all those points you gathers. I know they are doing a PvP system similar to this. But a PvP arena in the Guild Hall would be nice. I can totally see a ring out type of system similar to Sumo wrestling or something just for this.
Also why can't we go into any buildings, I mean are they really solid?

Man, all these idea's would rock. Then there'd be a point in being in a a guild other than fight. Having the pet racing would rock for rangers. XD You could make the guild place bets.

I would always win!
Maybe like add stables with horses then everyone in the guild gets one, and you can use it in the GH and in an explorable area, towns etc...
that would just be a cool bonus... maybe pay like 5-10k?

Well I say that as you win ranked gvg you gain "guild points". You can then spend those points on upgrades for your guild. Not only cosmetic and fun upgrades, but battle upgrades. Like a extra catapult here or there. But you can only put things in certain designated spots.
For the armor crafter, if the crafter had all the armor it would be pretty stupid. You should only be able to craft armor you already have visited in the towns or such. Maybe even allow your guild to design your own armor! That would be sweet, walking around town in not only matching capes, but matching armor that matches your cape!

What about the guilds that dont like to battle! My guild's still trying to get back to base from our horrible 3-in-a-row loss.
Make them pay gold or guild points. Guild points for things like catapults and gold for the traders horses etc.
Maybe pay 50k for griffons? That'd be cool.
and yes I would love to have matching armor ^^ it would be soooooo cool. so it's not just capes that look alike you can have armour too. Maybe make it a free upgrade to everyone's armor if they want it? 2k seems good, dont forget that they should be able to change their armor back if they want to.

The problem with updates like that is when you win it makes it easier for you to win and harder for new guilds with the same skills to compete. I mean the whole idea is skill not time played right? So if a guild has been going a while and hass all these battle upgrades that help during gvg the smaller or newer guilds don't have as much of a fighting chance and would lose even if they are just as good.

I totally agree there. Cosmetic upgrades? SURE. Battle upgrades? No. I don't think that's what aNET have in mind.
The idea of mini games, fights between guildeies etc. I really like the sound of them.
I'm all for the suggestions from the original poster.
